Benchmark General Contractors has been selected to lead reconstruction for two Sanibel Island condominium communities as the region continues its recovery from Hurricane Ian. The awarded projects include:
- Gulf Beach Condo — a 14‑unit, 28,542‑square‑foot development at 527 E. Gulf Drive
- Kimball Lodge — a 31‑unit, 26,982‑square‑foot community at 3111 W. Gulf Drive
Both properties will be rebuilt to current flood elevation and hurricane wind standards using modern, resilient construction methods designed to strengthen long‑term coastal durability.
Construction is already underway at Kimball Lodge, with Gulf Beach Condo scheduled to begin this summer. Both projects are expected to be completed within approximately 12 months, contributing to the broader rebuilding efforts across Sanibel.
