Benchmark Helps Company Build New Tropical Themed Office
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company is excited to announce that construction on its new office is well underway. Benchmark is helping Sanibel Captiva Trust transform the former Bank of America building into a new tropical themed office. This endeavor has become even more significant following the impact of Hurricane Ian on Sanibel Island.
Despite the setback caused by Hurricane Ian, the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company remained committed to creating a space that exudes comfort and trust. The original office on Palm Ridge Road was damaged, prompting the need for a new location. Construction on the new office began last year but was temporarily halted due to the hurricane. However, the company has persevered and resumed construction this year, with plans to open in the fall.
In addition to accommodating the needs of clients and staff, the new office will boast a range of amenities. An oversized conference room will provide ample space for meetings and collaborations. The new amenities will even include an outdoor patio that will be available for small groups, offering a delightful environment for discussions and gatherings.
Joyce Owens, renowned architect and designer from Architecture Joyce Owens and Studio AJO, is responsible for the exquisite design of the interior. Inspired by the tropical charm of Singapore and Bali, the office’s interior plans will capture an Asian tropical feel. The former drive-through area will be transformed into a serene Zen garden, serving as an ideal space for various functions.
The interior design of the new office aims to strike a balance between sophistication and comfort. Joyce Owens has meticulously chosen rich natural materials that not only align with the building’s style, but also embraces the climate and vegetation of the island.
